Time.....the passage and the recording of time has always been an integral part of life. It is clear that the design of clocks and clocktowers on key foundational buildings in Dunedin was an essential and important element in regards to both form and function.
This weeks feature friday takes a look at some of the 'heritage' clocks around town - the railway station, the university and the courthouse, and at one clock (the municipal chambers) through a few lenses.
"For me the noise of Time is not sad: I love bells, clocks, watches and I recall that at first photographic implements were related to techniques of cabinet making and the machinery of precision. Cameras, in short were clocks for seeing and perhaps in me someone very old still hears in the photographic mechanism the living sound of the wood." - Roland Barthes

" Yesterday is gone, Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin." - Mother Teresa
