FEATURE FRIDAY: BIKISMO'S BULL

Down an alleyway off Dowling Street resides one of our city's newest street art creations,  a rather menacing looking bull who is the focus of this weeks feature friday.

We are big fans here of the 3D metallic mural created by Puerto Rican artist Joshua Santo Rivera known as 'Bik', 'Ismo' or 'Bikismo' as he has signed off on the Dunedin bull.

If you look closely you'll see that cleverly integrated into his street art are scenes and objects depicting the surrounding area.

Painter, muralist, graffiti artist for over 15 years Bikismo has work exhibited in a number of places internationally including Japan, Canada, USA, Puerto Rico, Spain and Dubai.

A member of prestigious international urban art groups: MAD(masters of destruction), TNB (the nasty boys) and FX,  we are lucky to have some of his work gracing our city streets.

Here are some of his other metallic creations from around the globe:

Bikismo's urban work is characterised with the unique image of a toaster and the words “Seguimos Tostando” (we'll keep toasting.)

Wishing you all a safe and relaxing Easter weekend,  if you are in Dunedin for Ed Sheeran have a walk around Dunedin's streets and check out some of our unique street art.

Happy Weekend Folks
