PEOPLE OF THE PRECINCT: EMMA & JESS - LOFT HAIR

It's an absolute treat to bring you snippets of insight from the owners,  profiling four amazing businesses in the Warehouse Precinct.   A little bit of inside info directly from the inspiring, hard working creatives who are stamping their identity into this area in their own unique ways:

L e t ' s   h e a r   f r o m   E m m a   &   J e s s:

Tell us about Loft Hair:

At Loft hair we love to provide contemporary hair trends within a warm and friendly environment.

What do you love about The Warehouse Precinct?:

We opened up our beautiful salon in the warehouse precinct 2 years ago with whispers that it would be the trend area to trade in.

We love and support the rebuilding and renewal of old buildings and especially love their industrial appeal. There’s a lot of history still in the warehouse area so it’s great to be a part of it.

Describe the design aesthetic that inspired your design choices:

We have really been inspired by the New York loft apartment style and thought it was time that Dunedin had its own style, therefore the Dunedin Loft was born with an industrial feel.

Tell us a little about people who inspire you:

We are really inspired by the women business owners in our area.  Riah McLean who manages a very busy family and two successful cafe/restaurants ( Vogel St Kitchen  and Heritage Coffee).

Liz Christensen who started a kick butt catering company and has now grown the successful Precinct Food cafe.

Both women inspire us greatly, to achieve whatever you desire with passion, hard work and a brilliant team that believes in your business as much as you do.

What's at the heart of Loft?

The heart of Loft is our family or team.

We are a close little group who are not only passionate about delivering a wonderful service to our clients but are also passionate about Loft and want to see it succeed.

We love providing the added extras and treating each client to a lovely relaxed experience.

S T W   S T U D I O   -  What we love about Loft Hair

If you were a finicky client (which i may be...cough) and you could have the best in modern hair services from an experienced stylist (who both listens & speaks),  in a space with a  contemporary/industrial flavour and an atmosphere that is warm, friendly and fun.

If you could have all of that and a new flavour of Harney & Sons teabag to test trial while reading your mag and refreshing your hair colour- I'd say that's about as good as it gets.

That's why you choose Loft and as a finicky client of Emma's for over 8 years,  I can confirm you will get consistently great service and come away with new friends.

Thanks girls - i'm sure you'll be needing a new warehouse space soon with the ongoing growth heading Loft's way.
