Moiety is a contemporary dining space located on the ground floor of the recently refurbished Terminus building at 42 Queens Gardens.
Built in 1880 as The Railway Central Terminus Hotel, the heritage and character of the building has been carefully preserved creating the perfect setting and ambience for a fabulous meal out.
Here is a wee peek at the Moiety premises which is in the final stages of it's renovation and showing great promise. Watch this space.

Tell us about Moiety:
Moiety is a casual, intimate restaurant serving a five course menu and interesting drinks.
What do you love about The Warehouse Precinct?
When we moved back from Australia we knew the type of place and concept we wanted to open, while hunting for a space we looked at old and new buildings and ultimately decided to find something epic and old as that's what makes Dunedin special and helps tell our story.
Describe the design aesthetic that inspired your design choices:
Stripping everything back to what it was built with, brick and steel, and keeping it raw and exposed with softer furnishings to make it more cosy and welcoming.
What's at the heart of Moiety?
A couple who believe in really good hospitality and Dunedin's strong future.
S T W S T U D I O - What we love about Moiety
Interesting fact 'Moiety' means one of two equal parts, the name referencing the presentation of the meal in a number of courses. While we have yet to dine at Moiety we are huge fans of a great degustation style meal and the drinks have us intrigued. Add to that the context of a beautifully restored heritage space and really whats not to love?
We are anticipating something fresh and vibrant on the Dunedin dining scene and wish Sam and Kim the very best for their opening! Thanks Sam & Kim.
